Shri Manibandh Shakti Peeth
also known as Manivedika or Chamunda Mandir
Manibandh Shakti Peeth is revered as one of the 52 Sacred Shakti Peethas of India. According to Hindu tradition, these holy sites mark the places where different body parts of Goddess Sati fell, sanctifying the land with divine spiritual energy.
This sacred shrine is believed to be the 27th Shakti Peetha, where the wrists (Manibandh) of the Goddess fell. The wrists symbolize karma (action), representing the power through which all deeds are performed.
The temple houses ancient and revered sculptures of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati in a divine embrace, placed on the extreme left, while Gauri Ganesh is enshrined on the extreme right. These sacred idols are believed to date back to ancient times and are traditionally associated with the Treta Yuga, making them objects of deep devotion and spiritual significance.
